A nation's call to rescue her !

I can count well with little bit of knowledge I have acquired in last 20 yrs, even those who don't know counting can easily say they don’t need to employ their fingers to count the benefits they have gained out of their caste affiliation. If you talk about the social stratification in the existing Indian society I belong to the so called highest caste i.e ‘Brahmins’. If I seldom sit and start thinking about the advantages of this association, I could find none. In fact at times I get embarrassed when I am being told or taught about the outrages committed by higher castes on the lower castes [ I carry the same lineage !!!!! ]..Believe me, at times I wish I could relieve myself from this affiliation but not everyone is lucky. And yes it is also an accepted truth that none of the caste today showcases a uniform social behaviour or professes a common occupation. Present day children born in a Brahmin family are busy reading Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare and have little or no inclination towards Vedas, children from Rajput family are busy with videogames and they haven’t even seen/touched guns forget about learning to fire them, children from Vaishya families are busy understanding the foreign relations they don’t have time to understand the tricks of doing business and finally so called lower castes are running country by becoming civil servants or politicians..So where has the social identities of these caste gone. [Above lines are not intended to hurt anyone]
The latest incident of ‘Ilavarasan and Divya’ is a slap which no civilized society can afford. ‘Mera Bharat Mahan Hai’, (Our India is great) for we don’t hesitate to sacrifice even our kids for the sake of wild taboos. In ancient times there used to be a tradition of human sacrifice which in fact continued till first half of 19th century; Well, those were performed by ignorant people in order to protect themselves from the wrath of demigods.. at least it was performed for the common good of society.. what about current form of human sacrifice i.e. honour killing, performed to  protect the false pride. I bet the people who support this ideology are the worst kind of bullies and biggest threat to any society. Those who can’t spare their own blood, how can you expect them to do any good to society in general. They are utterly selfish and unfit to live in a civilized society they should be kept inside cage for u can’t send them to Jungle else they would even pollute Jungle (Even wildest animals don’t kill their offspring).
Yes, it is true there are things which aren’t meant to provide u with immediate and perceptible benefits for e.g. ‘Belief in God’ and on the similar line some chauvinist may argue about the invisible benefits that may accrue from caste affiliation, of course any such argument is beyond all levels of comprehension for a normal human being (I include myself in this category) but just for the sake of argument, normal person like me if can’t map any benefit, they look for associated losses i.e. in case of belief in God, if I can’t trace benefits, I as well don’t find any loss accruing but in case of caste affiliation, only thing I got is embarrassment.
If ever given a chance or if I get an opportunity whereby I can do something good for my nation I would try to eliminate the disastrous caste system. Though the country is facing innumerable challenges on internal and external front but what I think is the biggest among all of them is the venom of deep rooted caste system. There is corruption, communalism, female infanticide, terrorism, naxlism , regionalism, nepotism etc. u name a few more and I will categorically prove that casteism is the biggest challenge. And some of them have their genesis from caste system itself e.g. take the case of Naxalism in Bihar, corruption has in fact an integral relation, nepotism is a  de facto product of casteism, and I don't need to substantiate for honour killing. Somewhere I think even communalism must have born from casteism (historians and social scientists can better corroborate this).
Though the roots of caste system is gradually losing its grip but still this is widely present and at times this demon opens its mouth to cause insurmountable pain. The trauma of being alienated just on the basis of social lineage is intolerable. The worst thing is that now the caste system is perpetuated (wilful play with social identities) by the politicians to consolidate their vote bank.
Till when we would remain a mute spectator and witness the devastation of our own country, our own people by someone among us only. It is difficult to mend the opinion, values and way of living of old people but what about young ones, who are destined to maneuver the polity and economy of the country.

Friends! Your nation is calling you to rescue her from this monster, the caste system!

Hail India for embracing this HISTORIC MOMENT !!

Nation has witnessed a historic moment, in fact in the night of 8th Nov India had its tryst with the destiny. But sad some persons are trying to fool the nation and some arm chair intellectuals are professing the doomsday for the historic leadership. They are living in a fool’s paradise. They are disconnected individuals figh ting their last battle to save their bastion. Let me first talk about the goodness of this move: 1.       Check on the Terror Funding 2.       Check on Counterfeit Currency 3.       Check on the Inflation 4.       Check on the Spiralling Real-estate Pricing 5.       Check on the illegal Political Funding 6.       Check on the Rent-seeking Bureaucracy  7.       Check on the Crime Money 8.       Check on the Bribe Giving 9.   ...

Stop Crying Foul until U dare to Change It !

Sitting in a 10ft by 10ft room, wrapped in a thin Makhmali, Jaipuri quilt, TV remote in the hand, watching Arnab Goswami on Times Now or Rajdeep Sardesai on IBN Live or 5th day of India-England test series, some light hand made biscuits along with hot Nescafe Chocolate latte and in between few calls from friends and family and Facebook status update through Blackberry ( Mostly liking each other's status and photograph in b/w commenting on few posts mostly containing smileys (depicting mechanical emotions))    ..I guess these things can be obvious choice for a professional working for scheduled 9 AM- 5 PM  stretched up to 7  PM on a normal, non-traffic, non-deadline days. Choices of TV channels may vary and menu for evening snacks may depend on the number of days passed since one receives the salary..Okk, now 'Stupid' tablets have replaced 'silly' cell phones for Facebook updates..so these are little variations, rest ...

Declaration

Since childhood, perhaps due to social surroundings & family background I used to be interested in political incidents. I always have my own view towards the things, which though at times may swing but they use to be firm, but I have always found them justified. So, I wish to categorically declare it that what ever I will write here is my personal view is not intended to hurt anyone or any organisation & it should not be used anywhere without my permission.
